Originally introduced to the United States in 1998, the Forester shared its platform with the Impreza up to the third generation and now features a hybrid platform of the Japanese Impreza wagon and the rear platform of the U.S.-spec Impreza sedan. The Forester was designed and built with AWD as standard equipment.
According to the Subaru Forester article on Japanese Wikipedia, the name is coined to imply "a resident of the forest."

The Subaru Sumo, known as the Libero in European markets apart from the UK, also known as the Domingo in Japanese market, is a microvan produced from 1983 to 1998.
In Sweden, it was known as the Subaru Columbuss. It was launched with the option of four-wheel drive and powered by 1.0- and 1.2-litre 3-cylinder EF engines based on those used in the Subaru Justy although in the van they were rear mounted. somewhat unusually for a microvan the 1200cc sumo could be ordered with selectable 4wd, operated via a gear stick mounted button. In normal driving conditions the rear wheels only were driven, there being no central differential to allow highway driving in 4wd mode. The option of 4wd would seem to have been added merely for the sake of having a totally 4wd vehicle range.
A more passenger-car-like Subaru Domingo high-roof van with 997 cc, later 1189 cc engines and coil springs at the rear was added in October, 1983. It had a length of 341/342.5 cm and a width of 143 cm. This vehicle would stay available well after the release of the next generation Sambar. In the export the engine became a 665 cc and the vehicle was called Subaru 700 (length 322.5 cm). The larger versions were called Subaru E10 and Subaru E12 respectively.

Subaru is the automobile manufacturing division of Japanese transportation conglomerate Fuji Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (FHI).
Subaru is internationally known for their use of boxer engines in most of their vehicles. The company decided to utilize all wheel drive in most international markets as standard equipment in 1996. They also offer many turbocharged versions of their passenger cars, such as the Impreza WRX which is well-known in motorsports, such as rally racing. Other turbocharged models from Subaru include the Forester XT, Impreza STI and Legacy GT Spec.B.
Fuji Heavy Industries, the parent company of Subaru, is currently in a partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation, which owns 16.5% of FHI. The company is named after the star cluster Pleiades, which in Greek mythology is known as the Seven Sisters, and in Japanese mythology the name is "Subaru", which roughly translated into English means, "to govern", "unite," or "gather together". The company logo is influenced by the star cluster. The large star in the logo represents Fuji Heavy Industries, and the five smaller stars represent the current five companies that are united under the FHI group.

The Bentley State Limousine is an official state car created by Bentley for Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee in 2002.
The vehicle's twin-turbocharged, 6.75-litre V8 Engine has been modified from Bentley's Arnage R version to produce 400 hp (300 kW) and 616 lb·ft (835 N·m) of torque. Maximum speed is 130 mph (209 km/h).The State Limousine is three feet longer than a standard Bentley Arnage, 10 inches (254 mm) taller, and six inches (152.4 mm) wider. It is equipped with broad coach doors that open to the rear almost 90 degrees.
The car has been given armour cladding, a mine-resistant floor, armoured glass[citation needed], and a cabin that can be sealed against a gas attack. These security and safety measures hike the car's weight to almost 4000 kg (8818 lb), and it rides on run-flat tyres.
British textile manufacturer Hield produced the Lambswool Sateen cloth used for the upholstery of the rear seats.
Magna International's UK interior subsidiary, Intier automotive, constructed much of the hand built interior. The tool used to form the interior is still stored by Magna in the UK.
Only two of these exclusive luxurious vehicles were ever built, making it even rarer than the legendary Rolls-Royce Phantom IV, of which only 18 were built, exclusively for royalty and heads of state.
The Bentley is used only on official engagements and, when the Queen is aboard, is always escorted by a covert police vehicle, usually a black Jaguar XJ or dark green Range Rover. Members of the Queen's entourage including royal protection staff travel in a silver Volkswagen Caravelle T5. For non-official journeys, the Queen will usually be driven in an armoured Daimler Super V8, similar to that used by the Prime Minister. On visits to Balmoral and Sandringham House she has also been seen at the wheel of a Land Rover Defender.
